Some people say PIZZA is a pretty safe bet any time, because “even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good.” So, what would be the exact opposite . . . something that can be INCREDIBLE or INEDIBLE?
There’s a list online of foods that have the WIDEST SWINGS between being delicious and disgusting . . . and here are some of the best ones:
1. Watermelon . . . “Some are amazing, and some have zero flavor.”
2. Coleslaw . . . “If the right person makes it, it can be so good . . . but the other 99% of the time, it’s a slimy disgusting mess.”
3. Salmon . . . “It can be my favorite food, or nauseate me through smell alone.”
4. Peaches . . . “Delicious and wonderful, or a woody, mealy disappointment.”
5. Dunkin’ coffee . . . “You’ll get a great cup or literal garbage, maybe even on the same day.”
6. Tomatoes . . . “Crisp and refreshing. Or bland, mushy, and stringy.”
7. Mac and cheese . . . “Trying too hard can be worse than not trying at all.”
8. Apples . . . “Some types are legit delicious, and then there’s ‘Red Delicious.'”
9. Chicken breast . . . “It’s so easy to make it dry.”
10. Nachos (or poutine) . . . “Absolutely amazing, or a flavorless, soggy mass.”
11. French onion soup . . . “Wildly full of rich flavor, or onion-flavored water.”
12. Brussels sprouts . . . “Boiled or steamed they are disgusting. Roasted Brussels sprouts are amazing. They taste like a totally different vegetable.”
13. Scrambled eggs . . . “There’s five seconds between prime and a dry disaster.”
14. French fries . . . “Don’t ever put your fries in a closed box.”
15. Bear meat . . . “If you eat a bear that lives too close to a dumpster or landfill it’s not good. But wilderness bear that’s slow cooked just right is pretty amazing.”
Someone else added, “I feel that cauliflower is the opposite of pizza. It’s bad no matter what.”
