News Release

Tyler Scott Bowman, 34 years of age, of Winnemucca, was sentenced to prison on March 24, 2026. Bowman was convicted at trial on January 09, 2026 for the criminal charges consisting of:

Count I – Lewdness with Child Under 16 Years of Age

Count II – Sexual Assault on Child Under 16 Years of Age

Count III – Lewdness with Child Under 16Years of Age

Count IV – Possession of Visual Presentation Depicting Sexual Conduct of Person Under 16 Years of Age

Bowman was ultimately sentenced to a minimum of 36 years to life in Prison as Count I ran consecutive to Count ll, Count lll to run concurrent to Count l and Count ll, and Count lV to run consecutive to Counts l and ll.

The Winnemucca Police Department and the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office continue to work collaboratively to combat child sexual abuse and the exploitation of children in digital environments. These ongoing efforts are supported by strong partnerships with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, the Washoe County Child Advocacy Center, the Nevada State Police Major Crimes Division, and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Northern Nevada Cyber Center.
