Here are some random facts for you:  The surface of Venus has temperatures roasting well over 800 degrees.  And “O Canada” only became the official Canadian national anthem in 1980.

1.  We won’t be colonizing Venus any time soon.  The surface of Venus is a hellish place, where temperatures roast well over 800 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.  The Hard Rock Café is owned by the Seminole tribe of Florida.  They bought all the restaurants, hotels, and casinos in 2006 for just under $1 billion.

3.  “O Canada” only became the official Canadian national anthem in 1980.  The anthem before that was “God Save the Queen”, since they were a British colony.

4.  Sally Field played Tom Hanks’ mother in “Forrest Gump” just six years after she played his love interest in “Punchline”.  She’s 10 years older than him in real life.  It’s hard to believe, but Sally is now 76.  Tom is 66.

5.  Chris Farley had a cousin named Jim Farley . . . and he’s now the CEO of Ford Motor Company, and a board member of Harley-Davidson.
