HIGHLIGHTS:  Parents are angry at Google for how it answers a common question parents get this time of year.  Without revealing too much, we’ll just say Google’s answer is no, he’s not.

FULL STORY:  Google is catching heat for how it answers a common question parents get asked this time of year.  It’s about a famous man and how GENUINE he is.

We know we have to be careful, so we’re using a pseudonym.  The person we’re talking about is . . . “[Gary Busey]”.

If you google, “Is [Gary Busey] real?”, the first thing Google tells you is he’s NOT.  (Here’s a screenshot.)

That’s despite the fact that we’ve been welcoming [Gary] into our homes for decades, and he’s beloved.  You may even run into him at the mall this month.

Some parents want Google to change the answer it spits out at the top of the page when you ask about [Gary].  They just don’t think it should be the first thing you see.  Do you agree?

By the way, a solid number of us have no problem admitting [Gary] is a genuine individual.  In a recent poll, 21% of American adults said they still “believe in [Gary Busey].”
